Edition 2025 — Passion of Christ Carbognano
The ninth edition of the Passion of Christ
On April 17, 2025, Maundy Thursday, the historic center of Carbognano served as the setting for the ninth edition of the Passion of Christ Historical Re-enactment. From 9:00 PM, over two hundred performers brought the sacred representation to life, illuminated by approximately 10,000 candles that transformed the village's alleys and squares into a grand open-air stage.
Organized by the Passione di Cristo Cultural Association, led by president Mirko Gagliardi, with the collaboration of the III Legio Gallica and the patronage of the Municipality of Carbognano, the 2025 edition retraced the stages of the Passion between the Church of San Pietro Apostolo and the Castello Farnese, confirming the event as one of the most heartfelt religious manifestations in the Viterbo Tuscia.
