Edition 2025 — Parma Music Film Festival
The 2025 edition
The 13th edition of the Parma International Music Film Festival was held from September 22 to 28, 2025, at the Casa della Musica in Parma, with free admission. The festival presented films in and out of competition dedicated to human fragility, stories of solidarity, and rebirth.
Among the titles screened: The Opera! Aria per un'eclissi by Davide Livermore and Paolo Gep Cucco starring Vincent Cassel and Fanny Ardant, Per il mio bene by Mimmo Verdesca (present in person) with Barbara Bobulova, Stefania Sandrelli, and Leo Gullotta, and Il treno dei bambini by Cristina Comencini starring Serena Rossi and Stefano Accorsi.
The winners
- Violetta d'Oro (best soundtrack): Germano Mazzocchetti for Per il mio bene;
- Violetta d'Argento (best film): Il treno dei bambini;
- Dance Award: Wisteria by Luca Romano;
- Best Director: Alessandra Pescetta for 100 preludi; Best Documentary: The Lost Legacy of Tony Gaudio.
Special events included the presentation of the book Ennio Morricone. Il genio, l'uomo, il padre and a tribute to Charlie Chaplin with a live soundtrack.
