Edition 2025 — Paper Fest

In 2025, Paper Fest – Books in the Square doubled in size to become a two-day event, held on July 5 and 6 in Piazza Matteotti, Carrara. The publisher Paper First brought debates and presentations to the square featuring contributors to Il Fatto Quotidiano: from Antonio Padellaro to Daniela Ranieri, from Alessandro Orsini to Alessandro Di Battista, culminating in a grand finale with Marco Travaglio. Free admission.

The 2025 edition of Paper Fest took place over two days, July 5 and 6, in Piazza Matteotti in Carrara, expanding the format of the Paper First festival. On Saturday, July 5, the opening featured institutional greetings from Mayor Serena Arrighi and SEIF leadership, followed by presentations by Antonio Padellaro («Antifascisti immaginari»), Giacomo Salvini, Daniela Ranieri with Alessandro Di Battista, and Alessandro Orsini. On Sunday, July 6, the event concluded with Alessandro Di Battista and Marco Travaglio in a highly attended evening discussion. Two days of books, current affairs, and civic debate in the heart of the city of marble.
