Paolo Prestigiacomo Literature Festival

5th edition of the Poetry Festival — June 14-15, 2025

The fifth edition opened on Saturday, June 14, 2025, with an inaugural ceremony at the home of poet Paolo Prestigiacomo, followed by mini-Olympics organized by the local sports club and, in the afternoon, a tribute to Paolo Polizzotto. Notable events included the "Literary Trial" with Gianluca Furnari, winner of the Under 35 category, the show "From Athens to San Mauro… The Olympic Heroes," and the film festival "Corti d'Autore – Imagining Sicily."

Sunday featured walks and horseback excursions, the "Poetry in Motion" equestrian parade, the "Literary Trial" with Giancarlo Pontiggia (Absolute category), and the closing concert by the municipal band. Activities took place in various locations throughout the Madonie village, in the province of Palermo, with free admission.
