Edition 2025 — Paolo Grassi Theatre Season

In November 2025, the Paolo Grassi Cinema Theatre in Cisternino reopened its doors after five years of closure, under the management of entrepreneur Carmelo Grassi. Inaugurated on November 15 with the screening of the film "La vita va così", the reopening launched a new cultural season blending cinema and theatre, marking the first step toward the stable operation of a symbolic venue for the Itria Valley community and the Municipality of Cisternino.

The reopening of the Paolo Grassi

The Paolo Grassi Cinema Theatre in Cisternino, in the province of Brindisi, was returned to the city on November 15, 2025, after five years of closure, with the screening of the film La vita va così. The management of the venue was entrusted by the Municipality of Cisternino to film and theatre entrepreneur Carmelo Grassi, with the goal of restoring a stable cultural space to the Itria Valley community.

The project, running from December 2025 to March 31, 2026, featured a diverse programme of cinema and theatre: an art-house film series starting in January and the Theatre Season curated by Puglia Culture. Mayor Lorenzo Perrini described the reopening as "the first step toward the stable operation of a fundamental cultural structure," while Culture Councillor Annalisa Canzio emphasized its value for the community's identity.
