Edition 2025 — Pantelleria Asinabile

The first edition of Pantelleria Asinabile took place from October 5 to 12, 2025, in Piazza Cavour, establishing the recognition of Pantelleria as Italy's first "Donkey-Friendly Island." Eight days of guided walks, workshops, conferences, and activities for schools, with great community participation centered around the Pantesco donkey. The event was part of the 13th edition of the "Planet Earth Week."

The first edition of Pantelleria Asinabile was held from October 5 to 12, 2025, with an inauguration on Sunday, October 5, in Piazza Cavour, which was transformed for the occasion into "Donkey-Friendly Square." The program alternated between "Donkey-Friendly Walks" towards the donkey enclosure in Sibà, the "Donkey Transhumance" from Punta Spadillo to the square, and the "Donkey Words" series of meetings on pet therapy and donkey culture.

The show "Waiting for the little donkey", with the young people from the L'Albero Azzurro group, was performed from October 6 to 11, while the island's schools were involved with dedicated activities. On Saturday, October 11, the conference for the official recognition of the island was held, followed by a delicious and well-attended closing weekend. Organized by the Pantelleria Island National Park with the Municipality, the Sicilian Region, and the "Asineria Asini di Reggio Emilia" association, the event concluded with great success and the announcement of future editions.
