Palio Remiero

The 51st Palio Remiero brought the Pallanza lakefront to life on the evening of August 14, 2025. The day began in the late afternoon with the regatta council at the Town Hall for the pairing of crews and boats, followed by the team parade from Piazza Pedroni to Piazza Garibaldi. Starting at 7:00 PM, the elimination heats began, with races every twenty minutes.

The evening featured the finals of the 3rd Palio dei Campanili, won by the Oratorio San Giorgio Trobaso ahead of the Oratorio San Vittore di Intra, the Palio in Rosa, won by Germignaga, and the International Palio. The final of the 51st night-time Palio Remiero around 10:00 PM crowned Germignaga, just before the traditional fireworks over the Gulf. The event, organized by the Gruppo Difesa Tradizioni Piazza-Vila with the Italian Fixed-Seat Rowing Federation, confirmed its increasingly international vocation.
