Edition 2025 — Palio of Taranto
In 2025, the Palio of Taranto reached the milestone of its 40th edition, confirming its status as one of the defining events of the Ionian capital. The first regatta took place on May 8th, in the heart of the celebrations for Saint Cataldo, with the ten districts engaged in the circumnavigation of the Old Town between the Mar Grande and the Mar Piccolo. The season closed in July with the final race on the Navigable Canal, at the foot of the Swivel Bridge, in front of a large crowd. The event, free and held outdoors, renewed the bond between the people of Taranto, the sea, and their history once again in 2025.
