Edition 2025 — Palio of Saint Peter Celestine
The 2025 edition of the Palio of Saint Peter Celestine V took place in Ferentino as the grand finale of the «Ferentino è» festival, from Friday, September 5, to Sunday, September 7.
Friday, September 5, and Saturday, September 6, the squares of the historic center—Piazza Matteotti, Piazza Mazzini, the Rotonda del Vascello, and Piazza Martino Filetico—came alive with music, talk shows, fashion shows, and street food; on Saturday evening, in particular, the concert by Gemelli Diversi in Piazza Matteotti and the «Fiati in concerto» event in Piazza Mazzini.
Sunday, September 7, at 5:30 PM, the historical pageant in period costumes opened the main day; at 6:00 PM, the Ring Joust took place at the Rotonda del Vascello, with the four gates competing. Porta Montana claimed victory with six hits out of nine, ahead of its rivals Porta del Borgo/Sant'Agata, Porta San Francesco, and Porta Sanguinaria. In the evening, the closing dinner in Piazza Matteotti celebrated the winners and the districts.
