Edition 2025 — Palio di San Rufino

The XLV Palio di San Rufino took place in late August 2025 in Assisi, with the crossbow challenge between the terzieri Dive Mariae, San Rufino, and San Francesco. Historical market, costume parades, medieval banquets, and the competition with the awarding of the painted Palio brought the historic centre back to the atmosphere of the Middle Ages.

The 45th edition (XLV) of the Palio di San Rufino was held on the last weekend of August 2025 in Assisi (PG), organized by the Compagnia Balestrieri di Assisi. The three terzieri — Dive Mariae, San Rufino, and San Francesco — competed in the traditional ancient crossbow shooting competition.

As per tradition, the event featured the historical market in Piazza del Comune, costume parades, medieval banquets, and evening shows, with the awarding of the painted Palio to the winning terziere and the silver crossbow to the best shooter.
