Edition 2025 — Palio di San Rocco
In summer 2025, Montemitro renewed the Palio di San Rocco with the donkey race of the four districts at the municipal sports field and the spaghetti aglio e olio meal in via Makarska, at the heart of the popular festivals of the Croatian-Molise village.
The Palio di San Rocco 2025 confirmed the tradition of the donkey race in Montemitro. The four districts — Castello, Piazza, Sant'Angelo, and Tre Croci — fielded their donkeys, decorated in the colours of their neighbourhoods, for the competition at the municipal sports field, followed by the usual spaghetti aglio e olio in via Makarska. A Ferragosto dedicated to popular festivals that preserve the Croatian-Molise identity of Mundimitar.
