Edition 2025 — Palio di San Bartolomeo

In July 2025, Ronciglione renewed its appointment with the Palio di San Bartolomeo and its Corse a Vuoto. The nine districts competed along the 800 meters of Corso Umberto I with 'barberi' horses galloping without riders, amidst historical pageants, flag-wavers, and the passionate participation of the whole city.

The 2025 edition of the Palio di San Bartolomeo in Ronciglione took place at the end of July, with the final races held on Sunday, July 27. As per the Farnese tradition, the nine districts fielded their scossi horses in the Corse a Vuoto, competing along the approximately 800-meter track of Corso Umberto I. The event combined the spectacle of the heats with the charm of the historical costume pageant, confirming the Palio as one of the most deeply felt identity traditions of the Viterbo Tuscia and Lazio region.
