Edition 2025 — Palio of Allumiere

The 59th edition of the Palio delle Contrade of Allumiere was held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, in Piazza della Repubblica, in front of a massive crowd. After the Provaccia on Saturday, August 23, and the traditional Cene del Contradaiolo, the donkey race crowned the Burò district, which won the Cencio signed by artist Danila Petrini.

Palio delle Contrade of Allumiere 2025

The Palio delle Contrade of Allumiere returned in August 2025 with its 59th edition, confirming itself as the most cherished event in the town of the Tolfa Mountains. The Palio week opened with the presentation of the Cencio and the Cene del Contradaiolo, then moved into full swing with the Provaccia on Saturday, August 23, and culminated in the race on Sunday, August 24.

The historical pageant in 16th-century costumes, featuring over two hundred participants including ladies, knights, men-at-arms, flag-wavers, trumpeters, and drummers, preceded the donkey race in Piazza della Repubblica. At the end of a day of great participation, the Burò District claimed victory and the Cencio hand-painted by Danila Petrini.
