Palio delle Contrade di Garda

The 2025 edition of the Palio delle Contrade di Garda enlivened the Garda village on Ferragosto day, reviving the spectacular regatta of the bisse in honour of the Madonna Assunta. The nine districts faced each other on the water with the traditional standing Venetian-style rowing, in front of a large audience of residents and tourists. The day followed the usual programme, with traditional games in the morning, a flag-waver performance, a parade of the districts and blessing of the crews, the evening regatta, and the final fireworks. An identity festival that since 1952 celebrates the history and community spirit of Garda, in the province of Verona.
