Edition 2025 — Palio delle Botti Collepietro
The third edition of the Palio delle Botti in Collepietro was held on August 8 and 9, 2025, as part of the Emigrant Festival. Friday, August 8, the day began at 10:00 AM with a cart-building workshop for children, followed in the afternoon by traditional games in the square (from 5:00 PM), the opening of food stands (from 6:30 PM), and the musical evening (from 9:00 PM) with the participation of Alessio Napoleone and a DJ set by Dj Djor.
Saturday, August 9, from 6:00 PM, the barrel race took place between the six villages of Collepietro, Capestrano, Navelli, San Benedetto in Perillis, Bussi sul Tirino, and Popoli Terme, featuring flag-wavers, crossbowmen, costumed performers, and traditional dishes like sagne e fagioli. The event, organized by the Pro Loco with the Gruppo Storico de lo Certame and the Balestrieri di Popoli, confirmed the growing success of this rediscovered tradition.
