Palio delle Borgate of Garessio

The 2025 edition of the Palio delle Borgate of Garessio represented a significant milestone in the recent history of the event. After seven years of absence, the famous Carrera Saracina returned—the push-cart race that has been a symbol of the Garessio festival since 1967. The event on July 27, 2025, brought a piece of the town's collective memory back to the streets, organized into several timed trials open to all districts.

Throughout the summer, the four districts—Borgo, Ponte, Poggiolo, and Valsorda—vied for the palio through games and races held in the center of Garessio, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and healthy local rivalry. The event, promoted with the support of the Municipality of Garessio and the Pro Loco, confirmed its role as a great community festival in the Tanaro Valley, in the Province of Cuneo.
