Edition 2025 — Palio della Santa Croce

The 2025 edition of the Palio della Santa Croce animated Mortara with the Sforza historical pageant and the challenge between the six districts in the archery contest. Amidst historical reenactment, celebrations at the Abbey of Santa Croce, and Lomellina food stalls, the patronal festival attracted a large audience in the heart of Lomellina.

In 2025, the Palio della Santa Croce once again brought Mortara back to the Sforza Renaissance. The historical pageant, with hundreds of costumed participants, recreated the ducal court of Ludovico il Moro's era, while the six districts — Torre, Braide, San Dionigi, Il Moro, Sant'Albino, and San Cassiano — competed in an archery contest in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. Religious celebrations at the Abbey of Santa Croce and food stalls with Lomellina specialties completed a patronal festival among the most cherished in the province of Pavia.
