Edition 2025 — Palio della Marciliana

In 2025, the Palio della Marciliana animated the third weekend of June with the usual re-enactment of the War of Chioggia. The five districts competed in the Crossbow Palio, amidst historical processions, medieval taverns, ancient craft shops, and the burning of the tower, in front of a large audience in the historic lagoon centre.

The 2025 edition of the Palio della Marciliana confirmed the event as one of the most popular historical re-enactments in the Veneto. Hundreds of participants in 14th-century costumes brought the alleys and squares of Chioggia to life, reconstructing the medieval life of the city during the War against Genoa.

The programme followed the usual pattern: blessing of the districts and historical procession, medieval taverns and markets, re-enactment of the Genoese incursion with the burning of the tower, and the grand finale, the Great Crossbow Palio between the five districts.
