Palio dell'Assunta and Historical Pageant of Paliano

The 27th edition, August 2025

The 2025 edition of the Palio dell'Assunta occupied the entire first half of August in Paliano, in the province of Frosinone. The opening, on August 1st and 2nd, was entrusted to Renaissance banquets and performances by the Giullari del Diavolo company, featuring juggling, fire, and acrobatics. From August 3rd to 6th, the squares hosted popular games between the districts—from sack races to tug-of-war—while from August 8th, the district wine cellars opened with traditional cuisine and local crafts.

From August 9th to 12th, the exhibition dedicated to the Silk Road and the Colonna territories was open to visitors. On August 13th, the historic center welcomed the night-time historical pageant with flag-wavers and participants, followed by fireworks and video mapping projections. On August 15th, after the blessing of the Palio banner in Piazza Marcantonio Colonna, the Giostra del Turco was held, concluding the 27th edition and awarding the Palio to the winning district.
