Palio dell'Anello 2025

The 2025 edition of the Palio dell'Anello in Cisterna di Latina took place on the weekend of August 9 and 10. On Saturday, August 9, the 33rd Transhumance March — a dozen horses and riders following the centuries-old route of the butteri from the Falasche of Anzio to Jenne — stopped in Cisterna, welcomed at Il Filetto equestrian center.

On Sunday, August 10, at 6 PM, Corso della Repubblica, transformed into a sand track, hosted the ring joust: thirty-two riders competed representing ten towns (Artena, Cisterna, Cori, Lariano, Norma, Rocca Massima, Segni, Sermoneta, Sezze, and Velletri). The winner of the palio, the banner painted by artist Maria Pia Biagini, was Roberto Marchioni from Cori, who successfully speared four rings. The evening concluded in the square with folk dances and the awards ceremony. The days also featured the novelty of the Transhumant Festival at the Falasche.
