Edition 2025 — Palio dela Sloiza

From August 21 to 23, 2025, Transacqua hosted the 28th edition of the Palio dela Sloiza, in the Primiero San Martino di Castrozza municipality (Trentino). Three days of festivities with food stalls, music, and the great final challenge on Saturday evening between the eight villages of the Primiero valley, who competed for the Palio by hauling the ancient wooden sled through the streets of the historic center, in Piazza San Marco.

Palio dela Sloiza 2025 — 28th edition

The 28th edition of the Palio dela Sloiza took place in Transacqua from August 21 to 23, 2025. Thursday, August 21, the festival opened with a DJ set by Dino Uau and a concert by Rotti x Caso, a tribute to 883 and Max Pezzali, accompanied by the opening of the food stall. Friday, August 22, continued with the food stall and musical entertainment by a folk group.

The highlight was held on Saturday, August 23: at 7:00 PM, the opening of the food stall with schnitzels, fries, and cabbage, from 9:00 PM the folk music of the Dolomiten Bier Band, at 9:30 PM the parade of the Corpo Folkloristico Musicale di Primiero, and at 10:00 PM, the start of the race between the eight valley villages with skill trials around the sloiza. In Piazza San Marco, the rural tradition of Primiero was thus renewed, amidst strength, skill, and local pride.
