Edition 2025 — Palio del Viccio

The 2025 edition of the Palio del Viccio brought Palo del Colle to life during the Carnival period, with the decisive equestrian joust held on Shrove Tuesday, March 4, along Corso Garibaldi. After ten heats, the San Vito district triumphed thanks to rider Antonio Mongelli, riding the horse Iron, who was the first to burst the bladder and enter the Hall of Fame. Previous days featured the Riders' Tour and the Baby Palio for children.

Palio del Viccio 2025

The 2025 Carnival in Palo del Colle culminated with the Palio del Viccio held on Shrove Tuesday, March 4, 2025, along the incline of Corso Garibaldi. The challenge between the districts was decided after ten heats: the San Vito district took the trophy, thanks to rider Antonio Mongelli, riding the horse Iron, who was the first to burst the bladder with his lance, thus entering the event's Hall of Fame.

The program for the preceding days featured the Riders' Tour on February 23, with the equestrian parade ending in Piazza Diaz, and the Baby Palio on March 3 dedicated to children, followed by the investiture of the riders. As per tradition, the festival blended historical re-enactment, Carnival parades, and strong participation from the Apulian community.
