Palio del Re

The 2025 edition of the Palio del Re was held in Acqualagna (PU) on June 6, 7, and 8, 2025. Friday, June 6, marked the opening with the tavern at Parco della Repubblica, amidst evocative settings and live entertainment. Saturday, June 7, featured the Palio dei Dominatori, the competition dedicated to children. Sunday, June 8, saw the decisive challenge between the three historic districts Mergens, Lame, and Pertusa with tests of wit, skill, and endurance.

The performers included the Acrobati del Borgo, Circateatro on stilts, Mastri nel Tempo with the artisan market, Corte di Giovedía with axe throwing, Ali della Terra with falconry, and Signo Gladii with historical fencing. The big novelty of the year was the Fantapalio, a virtual championship where participants formed teams inspired by the districts, following their challenges online.
