Niballo 2025: Triumph of the Rione Verde

The 2025 edition of the Palio del Niballo in Faenza saw the 68th equestrian joust held on Sunday, June 22, at the Bruno Neri Stadium, according to tradition on the fourth Sunday of June. The Rione Verde (Porta Montanara) won the banner, created by artist Massimo Sansavini, and the Golden Tower thanks to knight Marco Diafaldi, who finished with eight shields for his third consecutive victory. For the district, this was the tenth overall triumph in the Palio's history.

Behind him, Luca Innocenzi for Borgo Durbecco placed second with four shields, while Gertian Cela of Rione Giallo completed the podium with three shields. As every year, the joust was preceded by a month of events including historical pageants, flag-thrower competitions, and district weeks throughout the city.
