Edition 2025 — Palio del Garzoncello
The Palio del Garzoncello 2025 opened Nocera Umbra's festivities on August 2 and 3, preceding the Palio dei Quartieri.
Saturday, August 2, at 9 PM, the Giardino delle Acque hosted the presentation of the young athletes from the two districts, with a performance by the Coro del Garzoncello directed by the Corale Santa Cecilia and a circus show for all ages. Sunday, August 3, after the 11 AM mass in the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the race between the young 'garzoncelli' began at 5:30 PM in Piazza Umberto I, with them competing in the relay and stretcher-bearer races.
Programme
Saturday, August 2
- 9:00 PM — Presentation of the young athletes from the two districts at the Giardino delle Acque, with the Coro del Garzoncello (Corale Santa Cecilia)
- Following — Circus show for all ages
Sunday, August 3
- 11:00 AM — Mass with the contrada members in the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta
- 5:30 PM — Race in Piazza Umberto I: relay and stretcher-bearer races between the children of Borgo San Martino and Porta Santa Croce
