Edition 2025 — Palio dei Rioni Quarrata

In 2025, the Palio dei Rioni of Quarrata once again enlivened the summer in the Pistoia area with the challenge between the eight districts: Drago, Giraffa, Istrice, Leone, Lupa, Orso, Pantera, and Puma. Between June and July, the usual sports disciplines were held, from football to basketball, cycling to running, and burraco, in a calendar of matches and events that concluded with the awards ceremony for the winning district and the presentation of the Cencio.

The 2025 edition confirmed the success of the event, with the eight districts of Quarrata engaged for weeks in football, basketball, cycling, running, and burraco tournaments. The evenings in Piazza Risorgimento and at the municipal sports facilities attracted a large and passionate audience.

As per tradition, the challenge between the districts closed with the awards ceremony and the presentation of the Cencio to the neighborhood that scored the highest points across the various disciplines, in a celebration of sport and community that involves the entire Tuscan town every year.
