Palio dei Rioni - Gamberemo

The 32nd edition of the Palio dei Rioni - Gamberemo, organized by the Touring Juvenatium led by Vito Fumai, was held on August 13 and 14, 2025. On Wednesday, August 13, at 7:30 PM, the San Domenico parish hosted the blessing of the banners; on Thursday, August 14, from 8:00 PM, the challenge heated up in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II.

The competition between the five districts remained highly uncertain until the canoe race in the waters of Cala Porto — a return to tradition not seen since 2006. In the rowing leg, the Sant'Agostino district, driven by the extraordinary performance of Nino Pazienza, overtook the Concattedrale, building a lead that was never lost.

The final standings were: 1st Sant'Agostino, 2nd Immacolata, 3rd San Domenico, 4th Concattedrale, 5th San Giuseppe. With this success, Sant'Agostino achieved its tenth victory in the history of the palio — the first district to reach double digits — and its third consecutive win. To make the evening even more engaging, large screens broadcast the maritime phases live with commentary from three announcers.
