Edition 2025 — Palio dei Fontanili

The sixth edition of the Palio dei Fontanili took place in Testa di Lepre from September 9 to 14, 2025, organized by the Pro Loco presided over by Luigi Conti with the patronage of the Municipality of Fiumicino. Six days of festivities featuring a contest for emerging bands, games between the four districts, the historical re-enactment on Saturday afternoon, the rotoloni race for the Palio banner, and a food stand dedicated to the flavors of the Roman Countryside.

Palio dei Fontanili 2025: the sixth edition

From September 9 to 14, 2025, the village of Testa di Lepre, in the Municipality of Fiumicino, hosted the sixth edition of the Palio dei Fontanili, organized by the local Pro Loco with municipal patronage.

The week opened on Tuesday, September 9, and Wednesday, September 10, with the semi-finals of the contest for emerging bands (7 PM - 11 PM), followed on Thursday, the 11th, by the grand finale. In parallel, the games between the districts of Borgo, Malvicina, Prataroni, and Colonnacce began. From Friday the 12th to Sunday the 14th, the stage hosted shows with Nadia Rinaldi, Maurizio Mattioli, Giulio Todrani, and the Frankie e Canthina band.

Saturday, September 13, was the highlight: the historical re-enactment in costume in the afternoon, the rotoloni race for the Palio banner, and the proclamation of the winning district. At the food stand, the full menu was offered for 18 euros, featuring Saragolla wheat fettuccine and the new panbacchio, a gourmet lamb sandwich.

Programme

Tuesday, September 9 and Wednesday, September 10, 7 PM - 11 PM: semi-finals of the emerging bands contest (four bands competing per evening); from September 10, start of the games between the districts. Thursday, September 11: grand finale of the musical contest. From Friday, September 12 to Sunday, September 14: evening shows with Nadia Rinaldi, Maurizio Mattioli, Giulio Todrani, and the Frankie e Canthina band. Saturday, September 13: historical re-enactment in costume in the afternoon, rotoloni race for the Palio banner, and proclamation of the winning district.
