The Palio dei Castelli 2025

In 2025, San Severino Marche once again renewed its appointment with the Palio dei Castelli, the 15th-century reenactment of the Smeducci lordship. For over a week, the historic center hosted costume parades, taverns, flag-wavers, and the traditional medieval competitions, from the Corsa delle Torri to the Tiro alla Fune.

The highlight was the grand historical parade with the offering of candles to Saint Severinus of Rome, the city's patron saint, followed by the finals in Piazza del Popolo. The event, organized by the Associazione Palio dei Castelli with the Municipality of San Severino Marche, confirmed the strong bond between the castles and districts of the San Severino territory.
