Edition 2025 — Palio dei Barchini

The 2025 edition of the Palio dei Barchini con le Ruote took place on Sunday, May 25, in Piazza Garibaldi in Castelfranco di Sotto. The four districts — San Michele in Caprugnana, San Martino in Catiana, San Bartolomeo a Paterno, and San Pietro a Vigesimo — competed in the traditional wheeled boat race, preceded by the evocative historical costume pageant through the town center.

In 2025, the Palio dei Barchini con le Ruote returned to animate the center of Castelfranco di Sotto on Sunday, May 25. As per tradition, the day opened with the historical costume pageant of the four districts, culminating in the races in Piazza Garibaldi, where the crews pushed the wheeled boats for the three ritual laps. Alongside the main race, the Mini Palio and the Palio Rosa were held, in a day of intergenerational celebration with free admission that attracted a large crowd to the heart of the Leather District.
