Edition 2025 — Palio degli Zoccoli

In 2025, the Palio degli Zoccoli returned to Desio with the historical procession of the 11 contrade and the wooden clog race, reenacting the Battle of Desio of 1277 between Visconti and Torriani.

The 2025 edition of the Palio degli Zoccoli brought back to Desio's historic center the grand historical procession of the 11 contrade, with the usual splendor of costumes, banners, and participants. The day re-enacted the Battle of January 21, 1277, and the spectacular wooden clog relay race, the culminating moment of the contest between the contrade for the conquest of the Palio. The event confirmed its identity value for the Desio community, awaiting the 36th edition in 2026.
