Edition 2025 — Paladino d'Oro
A record-breaking edition
The 45th edition of the Paladino d'Oro Sport Film Festival, dubbed the "sapphire edition," took place in Palermo from December 1st to 7th, 2025, and was hailed as one of the most significant in its long history. The competition featured 150 films from 40 nations across five continents: 90 short films, 60 feature films, 60 Olympic films, 30 Paralympic films, and 60 dedicated to football.
Screenings were held at the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa, between the International Center of Photography and the Cinema De Seta, accompanied by exhibitions and the "Cinema, Sport, and Health" conference. A new addition this year was the introduction of an award for films created with artificial intelligence. The grand awards gala was held on December 7th at the Teatro Politeama Garibaldi, featuring the presentation of the Paladino d'Oro - Don Pratelli Award statuettes.
