Ovidio Running 2025: the eighth edition

The eighth edition of Ovidio Running was held on September 21, 2025, in Sulmona, in the province of L'Aquila, enlivening the streets of the historic center with hundreds of participants. The day featured the 9.9 km competitive race recognized by FIDAL, the Young Race reserved for youth up to 15 years old, and the non-competitive fun run open to everyone, with the meeting point and start in Piazza Garibaldi.

The event, promoted by the Giambattista Vico High School and the Runners Sulmona Association with Professor Emanuela Cosentino, confirmed its European dimension linked to the SCORE project of the Erasmus+ Sport program, with sister events in Constanta (Romania) and Loutraki (Greece). With bibs and shirts decorated with Ovid's quotes and symbols of peace, the race reaffirmed the bond between physical activity, cultural identity, and solidarity that characterizes the Sulmona event.
