Outsider Festival 2025: Poetry lights up the Itria Valley

The third edition of the Outsider Festival was held from September 17 to 21, 2025, between Ostuni and Cisternino, in the heart of the Itria Valley (Province of Brindisi, Puglia). The official opening, on Wednesday, September 17, took place at the Casa della Musica in Ostuni with institutional greetings and the first poetry readings.

The program brought together poets from various countries — including Claudia Cecilia Vaca Flores, Javier Claure Covarrubias, Mirna Ortiz, Pietro Berra, and Barbara Herzog — accompanied by musical moments with soprano Javiera Tapia, pianist Anne Thomas, and maestro Francesco Palazzo on the accordion. There were also theater and dance performances, meetings with publisher Antonio Lillo, a cycling route along the Apulian Aqueduct, and poetic walks, including the highly anticipated night walk in the monumental cemetery of Cisternino. The artistic direction was curated by Adele Nacci and Dario Lacitignola, with the support of the Municipalities of Ostuni and Cisternino.
