Our Lady of Revelation Festival – Sri Lankan Catholic Community

The 2025 edition

As every year, April 25th drew hundreds of Sri Lankans living and working in Rome and the rest of Lazio to Tre Fontane. The day, promoted by the Sri Lankan chaplaincy of Rome-Laurentina with the Fondazione Migrantes, was centered around the solemn Eucharistic celebration and the community lunch that brings families together in the green spaces of the sanctuary.

In recent years' celebrations, a central place has been reserved for the memory of the 262 victims of the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings, along with thanksgiving to the Virgin of Revelation for graces received. The pastoral care of Sri Lankan Catholic migrants in Italy, coordinated at the national level by Monsignor Neville Perera, supports the community throughout the year with retreats, catechesis, and other major Sinhalese Marian feasts, most notably that of Our Lady of Madhu.
