Edition 2025 — Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast

In July 2025, Villanova Monferrato celebrated its patronal feast dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, confirming the date set for the third Sunday of July. As every year, the small town in the province of Alessandria renewed its devotion to its patron saint with church services and traditional festivities, including dancing and local food and wine, in the setting of the Monferrato rice country.

The 2025 edition of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Patronal Feast took place in Villanova Monferrato on the third Sunday of July, in accordance with the town's established tradition. The feast combined the religious dimension, with celebrations dedicated to the patron saint in the parish church of Saint Emilian, with the popular and convivial one.

According to Monferrato area guides, the festivities included moments of dancing and food and wine initiatives, in line with the tradition of Piedmontese village festivals. The event represented one of the key social gatherings of the summer in Villanova, integrated into the rich calendar of events linked to rice culture and the rural roots of this village in the province of Alessandria.
