Edition 2025 — Madonna del Carmelo

In July 2025, Trecastagni renewed its devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel with the traditional religious festival, celebrated around July 16. After the Solemn Quindicina of preparation, the community gathered around the venerated wooden statue housed in the Mother Church, which was carried in an evening procession through the streets of the historic center amidst fireworks, balloons, colorful confetti, and the recitation of the Holy Rosary.

The 2025 edition of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival in Trecastagni took place around July 16, the liturgical solemnity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The festival, deeply felt by the community of the Etnean village, was preceded by the Solemn Quindicina.

The feast day was announced by the ringing of bells and the firing of cannons. After the Solemn Holy Mass in the square of the Mother Church of San Nicola di Bari, the wooden statue emerged from the side portal amidst fireworks, balloons, and colorful confetti, before crossing the historic center in procession followed by the faithful, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary and the reenactment of the Joyful Mysteries.
