Edition 2025 — Osterie dei Pozzi

The eleventh edition of the Osterie dei Pozzi took place in Rieti from Friday, August 22 to Sunday, August 24, 2025, along Via dei Pozzi in the oldest district of the historic center, just a few steps from the Velino River. The chosen theme was street art: mimes, fire-eaters, and jugglers enlivened the alleys, while the taverns offered local cuisine and a special dish dedicated to the district. Organized by the Sunshine APS Association.

Osterie dei Pozzi 2025, eleventh edition

The event was presented on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in the City Council Hall of Rieti, in the presence of Deputy Mayor Chiara Mestichelli and the president of the Sunshine APS Association, Carlo Luciani. On that occasion, the inclusion of the Pozzi district in a "Distributed Museum" project with initiatives extended throughout the year was announced.

For three evenings, the taverns set up along Via dei Pozzi served traditional Rieti dishes alongside a special proposal inspired by street art. The entertainment program was entrusted to street artists, with roaming acts for all ages, and was accompanied by a photography contest curated by Giorgio Preite (Utopia APS association), with a jury chaired by photographer Raffaele Turetta and three awarded images.

The free guided tours were also very popular: on Friday, August 22 at 5:30 PM, the route through historic palaces, and on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 at 5:30 PM, the descent into underground Rieti with guide Rita Giovanelli. The Municipality of Rieti implemented temporary traffic changes in the district's streets for the occasion.
