In the spring of 2025, the Vercelli rice paddies once again hosted the guided cycling tours organized by Vercellioutdoor between Desana and Cascina Oschiena. These gravel rides through the flooded rice fields, featuring a gourmet stop and risotto tasting, have become a well-established event for lovers of cycling and slow tourism in the heart of the Piedmontese rice-growing plains.

The cycling tours through the rice paddies of Desana and Cascina Oschiena, in the Vercelli area, are part of the slow tourism offerings by Vercellioutdoor. Easy, flat rides on dirt roads, suitable for gravel bikes, MTBs, and e-bikes, allow visitors to discover the unique landscape of Piedmont's flooded rice paddies, with the customary gourmet stop dedicated to risotto and local specialties.
