Ortigia Film Festival 2025 — 17th Edition
The seventeenth edition of the Ortigia Film Festival was held in Syracuse, on the island of Ortigia, from September 20 to 27, 2025, with the theme "Cinema and Eros. Love will save the world." The program featured the traditional competitions alongside the Cinema Women, The Voice of the Sea, and Cinema & Music sections.
The winners
The film 6:06 by Tekla Taidelli won the award for Best Film and the Stefano Amadio Special Prize for independent cinema. Davide Valle was awarded Best Actor. In the short film competition, Amplified by Dina Naser won the award for Best Short Film and the Laser Film Prize. Among the audience awards, Afrodite by Stefano Lorenzi, starring Ambra Angiolini, was elected Best Film, while the documentary Claudia fa brutti sogni by Eleonora Sardo and Marco Zenoni won Best Documentary.
