Orizzonti Verticali – Performing Arts in Progress

Orizzonti Verticali 2025 — 13th edition

The thirteenth edition of the festival was held in San Gimignano from 31 July to 5 August 2025, around the theme "Not in my name", with the chrysanthemum chosen as the symbol of the event. The artistic direction of Patrizia de Bari and Tuccio Guicciardini offered a journey through national premieres, dance, theatre, and music in the most evocative places of the city.

Highlights

• 31 July — "The Gate's battle" (national premiere) in Piazza del Duomo and "Ciao Amore" by the EgriBianco Danza company at the Rocca di Montestaffoli.
• 1-4 August — "Biancaneve", a site-specific show in the former air-raid shelter, with double performances.
• 5 August — civic action "Not in my name" and Symphonic Concert by the Orchestra of the Pavarotti Foundation at the Church of Sant'Agostino (national premiere).

The events animated Piazza del Duomo, the Rocca di Montestaffoli, Galleria Continua, and the Church of Sant'Agostino, confirming the festival's bond with the Municipality of San Gimignano and the Province of Siena.
