Oriente Occidente Dance Festival

2025 Edition — "Absent Bodies", the first chapter

The 45th edition of the Oriente Occidente Dance Festival was held in Rovereto from September 3rd to 13th, 2025, launching the three-year "Absent Bodies" journey. The theme focused on bodies at the margins, invisible, out of focus, or outside categories, interpreted as acts of resistance and the reclamation of scenic space: human geographies rather than geopolitical divisions.

As per tradition, the festival enlivened the entire city with shows, performances, artist talks, and training activities, distributed between the Teatro Zandonai, museums, and urban locations of Rovereto, confirming its status as a reference point for contemporary dance in Italy and Europe.
