Edition 2025 — OperaCamion

In 2025, for the Jubilee, OperaCamion returned to the squares of Rome with a double program: Rossini's The Barber of Seville and Puccini's Tosca, the Roman opera par excellence. The Teatro dell'Opera's theatre-truck toured the Capital's districts with free shows, recording over 20,000 attendees and an audience often experiencing opera for the first time.

OperaCamion 2025

The 2025 edition of OperaCamion, held during the Jubilee year, brought opera to the suburbs of Rome from May 22nd to June 25th. The Teatro dell'Opera di Roma project featured a double bill: The Barber of Seville by Gioachino Rossini and Tosca by Giacomo Puccini, the opera most deeply connected to the city.

The stage-truck visited various districts of the Capital with free admission, confirming the popular and inclusive vocation of the project. The results were very positive: over 10,000 spectators for The Barber of Seville and as many for Tosca, with about 40% of the audience stating they were attending an opera for the first time. A success that paved the way for the new 2026 edition.
