Open Castles — The Tower and the River Museum

The 2025 edition of Open Castles confirmed the medieval tower of Masio (Alessandria province) as one of the historic homes in Piedmont open to the public. On opening Sundays, the La Torre e il Fiume Museum offered its vertical tour, recounting the history of the towers as symbols of municipal power in the Middle Ages and their relationship with the Tanaro river landscape.

Visits were held with free admission in the afternoon, with the opportunity to climb to the top of the tower to enjoy the view over the Monferrato hills. Self-guided or accompanied tours were available by reservation, in addition to special openings for groups upon request.
