Edition 2025 — Faith, Mystery and the Middle Ages

In 2025, the Castle of Monastero Bormida once again joined the Open Castles circuit, opening its halls to the public on Sundays between spring and autumn. The tours, often theatricalized by costumed re-enactors from the Custodes Viarum association, allowed visitors to discover the Romanesque tower, the Edoardo Rubino Gipsoteca, and the Knights' Tower in one of the most charming villages of the Asti Langhe.

2025 Edition

Throughout the 2025 season of Open Castles, the Castle of Monastero Bormida (Province of Asti) welcomed visitors with guided and theatrical tours led by costumed re-enactors from the Custodes Viarum association. The route allowed guests to admire the 27-meter-high Romanesque bell tower, the Gipsoteca dedicated to sculptor Edoardo Rubino, and the Knights' Tower featuring medieval weapons and costumes, as well as the iconic medieval bridge over the Bormida river. An opportunity to rediscover the historical and Benedictine heritage of the Asti Langhe.
