Edition 2025 — Open Castles - Castelnuovo Scrivia

In 2025, the Castello dei Torriani e dei Bandello – Palazzo Pretorio in Castelnuovo Scrivia once again joined the Piedmontese Castelli Aperti festival, welcoming visitors with free guided tours. The opening offered a chance to discover the crenellated tower, the 15th-century frescoes, and the history linked to the writer Matteo Bandello.

The 2025 edition

During the 2025 season of Castelli Aperti, the Castello dei Torriani e dei Bandello in Castelnuovo Scrivia, in the province of Alessandria, opened its doors to the public with free guided tours, generally in the afternoon from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Visitors were able to admire the 39-meter-high crenellated tower, the halls frescoed with 15th-century works, and the Visconti coats of arms, immersing themselves in the history of the palace and its prestigious literary connection to the Bandello family.
