Edition 2025 — On the Trail of Minerals in Val di Vizze

In the summer of 2025, the guided mineral excursion in Val di Vizze took place with weekly appointments on Tuesdays between August and September. As per tradition, each day included a morning meeting in San Giacomo/St. Jakob and a guided walk in the upper valley to discover crystals and minerals, with the usual duration of 5-6 hours and an elevation gain of about 500 meters.

The 2025 edition of Auf den Spuren der Mineralien im Pfitschtal confirmed the proven formula of the guided excursion organized by the Tourismusverein Sterzing/Vipiteno in the municipality of Val di Vizze/Pfitsch, in the province of Bolzano.

Every summer Tuesday, meeting at 9:00 AM at the Hotel Dorfwirt in San Giacomo, small groups of enthusiasts hiked the trails of the upper Val di Vizze accompanied by a guide, discovering the rich mineralogy of this Wipptal valley. An outdoor experience appreciated for the untouched alpine environment and the educational focus on the world of stones.
