Old Times Festival

The Old Times Festival 2025 was held on August 14 and 15 along Viale Oronzo Quaranta, from Porta San Demetrio to Porta Nova, starting at 7:00 PM. The event, organized by the Gruppo Folk La Stella with the patronage of the Municipality of Ostuni, offered the usual re-enactment of life in Ostuni at the end of the 19th century.

Along the route, visitors could admire the knife grinder, the blacksmith working wrought iron, masters of straw and reed weaving, embroiderers, and women busy preparing handmade pasta. There was no shortage of gastronomic corners with puccetedde, orecchiette, friselle, roasted meats, and local wine. The evenings concluded with songs and dances by the folk group and the show dedicated to the pizzica pizzica tarantata, one of the most applauded moments of the event.
