Edition 2025 — Ognina Fish Festival

The 2025 edition of the Ognina Fish Festival took place over the weekend of September 5th, 6th, and 7th in Catania, as part of the festivities for the Madonna di Ognina. The seaside village hosted street food stalls featuring bluefish and tuna, with evenings enlivened by music and folk performances. As per tradition, the festival preceded the "unveiling" of the statue on September 8th and the processions in honor of the Madonna.

The 2025 edition of the Ognina Fish Festival was held on the weekend of September 5th, 6th, and 7th in the seaside district of Catania, Sicily. The food stalls offered bluefish street food and specialties of Sicilian maritime cuisine, while the evenings were enlivened by musical and folk performances.

The festival opened the popular festivities in honor of the Madonna di Ognina, which culminated on September 8th with the traditional "unveiling" of the statue and continued with the sea procession and the procession through the streets of the village. Admission to the festival was free.
