The first edition (2025)

The debut of the Ortona Film Festival was held from July 22 to 26, 2025, at the Cinema Auditorium Zambra in Ortona. The preview evening, Tuesday, July 22, featured free entry and showcased the TV film "Champagne – Peppino di Capri" (directed by Cinzia TH Torrini), in the presence of actors Francesco Del Gaudio and Arturo Scognamiglio.

From July 23, every evening starting at 6:00 PM, screenings of short films in competition took place — including This is fine, La ballata di Francesco, Chiari del bosco, Marcello, and La buona condotta — alongside feature films such as Nottefonda, L'isola degli idealisti by Elisabetta Sgarbi, Caracas by Marco D'Amore, and Animali randagi by Maria Tilli. Guests at the meetings included Marco D'Amore, Francesco Di Leva, Vincenzo Nemolato, and Tony Laudadio. The awards ceremony was held on Saturday, July 26, with the Best Short Film Award (1,000 euros) and the School Short Film Award (500 euros).
